Murrumbidgee Field
Naturalists
MFN are a group of like minded people who share a belief
that the biodiversity of the Mid Murrumbidgee Valley is worth
knowing about and preserving. MFN
have regular field trips to places of interest, we have specific
preservation and conservation projects and we keep records of
our endeavours.
ECCO
(Environmentally
Concerned Citizens of Orange)
ECCO was launched in
April 2006 in response to widespread community concern over the
environment, and at a time when the city of Orange was
experiencing significant residential expansion and commercial
development. ECCO has subsequently embarked on a broad program
of environmental education, awareness and activism in the Orange
community, with an increasing emphasis on climate action
initiatives through its sub-group, Orange Climate Action Now (OCAN).

Orange Field Naturalists

The OFNCS is a
society for anybody interested in natural history, preservation
of the environment and conservation.
Meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month
and fieldtrips the Sunday following
the meeting. Members of the Society
have a wide range of interests and include professional
scientists, amateur naturalists, students, children with
interests in animals, environmental activists and other people
who are interested in, and care about, the natural world around
them.
Greening Bathurst
Greening
Bathurst is a volunteer community organisation that supports
best practice in the management and conservation of vegetation
across the Bathurst Regional Council area by advancing the
implementation of the
Bathurst Vegetation Management Plan (BVMP)
and assisting in achieving the vision of the Plan.

Macquarie
RiverSmart - The Macquarie RiverSmart
initiative aims to help establish community-based programs within
urban and rural areas that help 'connect' people with their nearby
rivers, wetlands and lakes so they take on a stewardship role and also
take steps to reduce the collective 'river footprint' of the community.
The Macquarie River campaign sees us working
with a range of stakeholders to help advance the
development of rehabilitation reach from Burrendong Dam to the Barwon
River confluence.
Little River Landcare

The
Little River Landcare Group Inc. is situated in the Little River
catchment of the Macquarie River valley in Central Western NSW. The
Little River drains 258,000ha from over 300 farms and centres on the
small townships of Yeoval and Cumnock. The
group has many accomplishments
including the Catchment
Management Plan
now being implemented and they feel
they can optimise the many opportunities
presented by the improving attitudes to natural resource management in
our region.
BirdLife Australia -
Birdlife
Australia (formerly BOCA and Birds Austalia) is the primary national
bird conservation
organisations. Birdlife Australia is dedicated to the understanding,
conservation and enjoyment of Australia’s wild native birds and their
habitats.
NSW Bird Atlassers:
The NSW Bird Atlassers (NSWBA)
is an independent, volunteer-based, non-profit
group with the joint aims of monitoring the distribution of birds in New
South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory, preserving habitats,
providing a proper basis for environmental impact studies and for other
ornithological reference purposes.

The Central West Catchment
Management Authority is one of thirteen organisations that were
established in late 2004 as part of major natural resource management
reforms in NSW. CMAs have responsibility for devolving operational,
investment and decision-making natural resource functions to catchment
level.

OEH’s
primary responsibility is the conservation of
biodiversity and
Aboriginal heritage. It's responsibilities includes
national parks management and environmental water management.
